The film, directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, tells the story of an American man who, while travelling in Italy, meets and falls in love with a beautiful woman with a dark secret. The film was highly praised, with director Guillermo del Toro describing it as “one of the best horror films of the decade”.
